Why is it so hot and grimy looking in the library?

1st and 2nd floors: The complete renovation of Sinclair Library (planned completion before 2010) will include air conditioning for all floors.

3rd floor: The library is deliberately kept cold in order to reduce insect infestation and the growth of mold and mildew on items in our collection. We recommend bringing a sweater or jacket if you plan to stay in the Library for an extended length of time.
