Searching for Videos Using Voyager

A Guide for Locating Media in Sinclair Library

1. To search for materials anywhere in the University Library system (all campuses) select the GUIDED SEARCH on Voyager. Type in keywords and/or personal names. A search can be performed by typing all words in one box. If you wish, you may limit to UH Manoa by using the SEARCH LIMIT option at the lower right corner of the screen.

2. To restrict your search to specific media, include one of the following terms in your search:

Videotape, Sound Recording, Compact Disc, DVD, CD-ROM, Score, Video? (searches both DVD and videotape)

3. Scroll to bottom of screen and click on Search.

4. To review a list of DVD's, select GUIDED SEARCH, limit by UHM Sinclair and type DVD in the search box. Or you may look at our lists of feature films on DVD or videotape. Printed lists are also available in the AV Center. If you wish to see only newer items, select BASIC SEARCH, click on CALL NUMBER, type in a recent call number, e.g., DVD 0600, Videotape 18600, Compact Disc 8600.

5. To find RESERVE materials, click on RESERVES. Select UH Manoa campus from dropdown menu, type first letter of instructor's last name or course name. Scroll and click on correct entry.
