Quick Facts
You need to make reservations in one of two ways:
Check out the key with your validated UH ID at the Wong Audiovisual Center Circulation Desk, then from the main floor, take the stairs down from the lobby to the basement and turn right. Walk out through the double glass doors and the Viewing Room is located on your right.
There are light switches on both sides of the main door. One set of switches controls the overhead lights. The other set controls the front and back fluorescent lights. For classroom viewing, the front & rear fluorescent lights are usually turned off, although this is up to the instructor's personal preference. The best viewing quality is obtained by closing the main door and turning off all the lights, for a comfortable theater effect.
The main equipment rack is located near the front left-hand side of the room. An instruction sheet is provided nearby. To set the rack up for use, just follow the instructions. If you run into a problem, a phone is located nearby for you or the instructor to call the Wong Audiovisual Center for assistance at 956-8308 x53.
If other equipment is required, such as a slide projector or CD player, Wong Audiovisual Center personnel should be notified in advance in order to prepare the room with the necessary equipment.
A roll-away lectern is located at the front of the room. This has an overhead projector which can be plugged into the outlet at the front of the room below the main viewscreen.
A white board is provided in the Viewing Room for class use. Please remember to use only Dry-Erase markers on this board. Extra markers or erasers may be checked out at the Wong Audiovisual Center Circulation Desk.
When you are finished, please lock the door and return the key to either the Wong Audiovisual Center Circulation Desk located on the Third Floor or the First Floor Circulation Desk.
